Legitimate Grounds
For each activity where DAL collects and processes personal data about you, the legitimate grounds are specified. The grounds are described in more detail below.
Contract or Agreement (Art. 6, para. 1, letter b)
When processing of your personal data occurs based on an agreement or contract, processing is necessary for DAL to fulfill or enter into an agreement or contract to which you are a party. Your personal data will be necessary for DAL to identify you as a party to the agreement or contract.
Legal Obligation (Art. 6, para. 1, letter c)
When processing personal data is based on a legal obligation under Article 6, para. 1, letter c, it is because DAL is required to comply with national or EU law, which mandates the processing of personal data to identify you. The specific legal obligation will specify the nature and duration of the processing, e.g., the Accounting Act.
Balancing of Interests (Art. 6, para. 1, letter f)
When processing personal data is based on the balancing of interests rule in Article 6, para. 1, letter f, we have balanced our interests against your interests when it comes to marketing, website improvement, security, fraud risk, etc. DAL has done this to ensure that your interests, fundamental rights, or freedoms do not override our legitimate interests.
Consent (Art. 7)
When processing personal data is based on your voluntary consent, this consent allows DAL to process your personal data. When giving consent, you will be informed of what you are consenting to and under what conditions DAL may process your information. You will also be informed that you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Your Rights
As a data subject, you have certain statutory and non-waivable rights, which you can exercise against DAL. It is also DAL’s obligation to inform you of your rights and what each right entails.
Right of Access – Art. 15
You have the right to know what personal data DAL processes about you, for what purposes, and for how long. If you did not provide the data yourself, you also have the right to know if we received it from others. Under the section “Disclosure of Personal Data,” you can see where and under what conditions your personal data is processed by others.
Right to Rectification – Art. 16
You have the right to have inaccurate or incorrect information about you corrected. If any information you have provided to DAL contains errors or changes, you can contact us at dansk@autologik.dk to have your data corrected.
Right to Erasure – Art. 17
Under the section “Erasure of Personal Data,” you can see when DAL erases data. You have the right to request that some or all of your personal data be erased upon withdrawal of consent. If you want to have data erased, please email dansk@autologik.dk indicating which data you want deleted. Not all personal data can be erased, as DAL is required by law (e.g., the Accounting Act) to retain some data for five years.
Right to Restrict Processing – Art. 18
If you believe DAL is processing incorrect data about you, you have the right to restrict the processing. The same applies if you believe DAL is processing the data unlawfully or if you have objected to the processing. DAL will restrict the processing to storage until the inaccurate data is corrected or it is determined whether the processing is lawful. To request restricted processing, contact dansk@autologik.dk and explain why the processing should be restricted.
Right to Data Portability – Art. 20
You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to DAL. To request this information, email dansk@autologik.dk. Your request should include information that allows DAL to identify you or contact you to verify your identity. The data will be provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, which you can transfer to other data controllers.
Right to Object – Art. 21
You have the right to object to DAL’s processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, including profiling related to direct marketing. You also have the right to object if you believe DAL is processing data under the balancing of interests rule in Article 6, para. 1, letter f without legitimate interest. To exercise this right, send an email with your reasoning to dansk@autologik.dk.
Right to Withdraw Consent – Art. 7, para. 3
You have the right to withdraw your consent to DAL’s processing of your personal data at any time. Right to Lodge a Complaint – Art. 77
You have the right to complain about DAL’s processing of your personal data. Complaints should be submitted to the Danish Data Protection Agency, which is the supervisory authority that handles complaints regarding data processing in Denmark. Data collected through your use of the website via necessary and functional cookies will be automatically deleted no later than 12 months after your last visit. If consent to receive marketing newsletters is withdrawn via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter, your email will be removed from the distribution lists. Your newsletter subscription will be retained for two years after your withdrawal to allow DAL to document your consent and thus the legal basis for sending newsletters.
Security in Data Processing
DAL has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, or misuse. These measures are reviewed and adjusted regularly – at least once a year – to ensure they remain appropriate. DAL imposes the same security requirements on data processors.
Disclosure of Personal Data
DAL may disclose personal data to data processors to the extent necessary to perform the various collection and processing activities. Written data processing agreements are in place with all data processors, specifying that data and personal data processing can only occur under DAL’s instructions.
